Texas High School Freshman Receives 3 College Offers in One Day

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A freshman from Pflugerville Weiss High School recently received three NCAA Division I college offers in a single day.

Cade Miller, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound offensive lineman, stepped into the starting lineup for Class 5A Weiss last fall just months removed from being in junior high.

He more than held his own and helped lead Weiss to a 10-3 record and a spot in the third round of the 5A Division I playoffs.

He started 10 games and was never called for a holding penalty for an offense that averaged 460 yards and 48 points per game.

He was selected as a Freshman All-American by Football University, an honor given to only 70 players in the nation.

After the standout season, he earned his first Division I college offer Jan. 23 from SMU. Later that day, he picked up offers from Kentucky and UTSA.

Four days later, he earned another offer from Texas State.

Miller hasn’t announced any offers since then, but he’s clearly one of the names to keep an eye on over the next three years.
