Suspect Apprehended After Morning Pursuit in Sterling County

 

STERLING CITY, TX — A suspect was safely taken into custody Thursday morning after a vehicle pursuit that began in Stanton and crossed into Sterling County, authorities said.

The Sterling County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist around 4 a.m. The pursuit originated in Stanton and continued into Sterling County, where the vehicle was spiked, causing it to lose both front tires. The vehicle came to a stop about 1 mile north of city limits.

The suspect was apprehended without incident by Stanton police.The Sterling County Sheriff’s Office credited the following agencies for their assistance: Stanton Police Department, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Howard County Sheriff’s Office and Glasscock County Sheriff’s Office.
