Abilene Man Found Dead From Gunshot Wound 

 

ABILENE, TX — A 19-year-old Abilene man was found outside of a home Monday with an apparent gunshot wound, according to the Abilene Police Department.

Juan Diego Mendez was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased from his injuries at 6:04 p.m.

Police were called to the residence in the 3800 block of Concord Drive in north Abilene for a report of an injured shooting victim.

A 19-year-old woman who was inside the home was taken to the police station for questioning. She was in a dating relationship with the victim.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
