SAN ANGELO, TX — A three-vehicle crash on Sherwood Way on Monday afternoon sent three people to the hospital.
The crash occurred about 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Sherwood Way and the Houston Harte frontage road.
According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, the driver of a red Buick Enclave ran a red light and clipped the front of a tan Ford Explorer before colliding with a white Chevy pickup.
The Buick then crashed into a light pole before coming to a stop.
Two people from the Buick were taken to the hospital, along with the driver of the Chevy.
The driver of the Buick will be issued a citation for disregarding a red light, according to the officer, while the driver of the Ford was also cited for not having a driver’s license.
The vehicles were blocking traffic from being able to turn east onto the Houston Harte frontage road, so traffic was being redirected through the Lowe’s parking lot.
