Brady’s Reed Signs With Howard Payne University

BRADY, TX — One of the Concho Valley’s top football players, Brady’s DeMarcus Reed, signed Wednesday to play for Howard Payne University.

Reed was a wrecking ball on the defensive line for Brady and led the Bulldogs to a 7-4 record, which included a runner-up finish in District 5-3A Division II.

He was the district’s Defensive MVP with 113 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, five sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception.

He was also one of the area’s top offensive linemen with 54 pancake blocks while grading out at 94%.

The 6-foot, 250-pound Reed could potentially play on either side of the line at Howard Payne, an NCAA Division III college in Brownwood.
