SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State University’s Woodwind Chamber Ensembles program will present its annual spring concert Tuesday evening at the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Eldon Black Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
The performance will feature a variety of chamber works for woodwinds, strings and piano, performed by ASU music students in small ensemble settings.
The program includes “Sonatina d’Amore” by Daniel Dorff, performed by Nicholas Deleon and Gavin Martinson on bass clarinet, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Trio for clarinet, viola, and piano, K. 498,” also known as the “Kegelstatt Trio,” featuring Deleon, Lucas Pruessner on viola and Yumiko Win Din on piano.
Additional selections include “Juntos: Together” by Dorothee Eberhardt, performed by Natalie Bowles on violin and Martinson on bass clarinet, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Trio for clarinet, cello, and piano, Op. 11,” featuring Talysen Carter on cello, Jayden Wilha on clarinet and Michaela Zimmerman on piano.
The Woodwind Chamber Ensembles program is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, professor of music.
