San Angelo Regional Airport to Host Emergency Exercise

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Regional Airport will host a multiagency emergency exercise Wednesday, April 15, the city announced Tuesday morning.

The exercise is scheduled to begin around 9:30 a.m. and will take place at the airport and the Goodfellow Air Force Base Recreation Camp.

Residents and travelers may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles, low-flying aircraft and simulated smoke or incidents near the airport and Lake Nasworthy area. This is only a drill.

Commercial airline schedules will not be affected, and the airport will operate as normal.

This multiagency collaboration helps ensure San Angelo Regional Airport remains prepared for any large-scale incident.
