Goodfellow AFB Announces Changes to Gate Access and Hours

SAN ANGELO, TX — Beginning Monday, March 23, the hours for the South Gate and North Gate at Goodfellow Air Force Base will change due to the Visitor Control Center remodel. 

The new hours are as follows:

• North Gate: Open 24 hours.

• South Gate (Jacobson Gate): Open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It will be closed weekends and federal holidays.

Additionally, the temporary VCC located in the parking lot next to the North Gate will handle all pass and registration functions beginning on March 23.

All rideshare and food delivery drivers will need to come through the North Gate as there will be no access to any of the parking spaces surrounding the main VCC (next to the Jacobson Gate) during the remodel.

All commercial vehicles such as semi-trailer trucks will still need to enter the commercial vehicle inspection gate near the South Gate.
