CORRECTION: Original reporting stated that 144,936 registered voters participated, which is stated in an unofficial cumulative report. Elections Administrator Vona Hudson clarified the number, stating that "In our system, to be able to have registered voters, we have to enter the number of registered voters by precinct. But because we don't register by party, we have to enter the same number for Republicans and the same number for Democrats. So it actually ends up reflecting as double. The actual number of registered voters is half of that. But that's the way the system works." Another document states that the number of registered voters is actually 72,483.
