WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened Iran by posting an AI-generated image of himself holding a rifle amid explosions on Truth Social, declaring “No More Mr. Nice Guy!”
The image shows Trump wearing sunglasses and a black suit, gripping an assault-style rifle in front of a desert landscape with fiery blasts and smoke.
The post’s caption reads: “Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a non-nuclear deal. They better get smart soon! President DJT.”
The post comes amid heightened tensions following a brief U.S.-Iran conflict earlier this year. The fighting began after joint U.S.-Israeli drone strikes targeted Iranian missile sites. Iran retaliated, causing U.S. casualties, before a temporary ceasefire took hold. Iran has since closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply.
Earlier this week, Iran offered to reopen the strait if the U.S. lifted its blockade. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rejected the proposal in comments to Fox News, stating that Iran cannot dictate terms for use of international waterways.
