Kamala Harris Considering Another Run for Presidency

NEW YORK — Former Vice President Kamala Harris is apparently considering running for president again.

While speaking at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network convention in New York on Friday, Harris said she was thinking about running again when asked by Sharpton.

“Listen, I might. I might. I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it, Harris replied. "I know what the job is. I know what it requires..." 

"I've been traveling the country the last year, I've been spending a lot of time in the south and many other places, and the one thing I'm really clear about also is the status quo is not working and hasn't been working for a lot of people for a long time. The people, they don't want process, they want progress."

Harris lost to Donald Trump in the 2024 election when she won only 19 states and lost every swing state.

Harris replaced Joe Biden as the Democrats’ presidential nominee in August 2024 following Biden’s disastrous debate when his cognitive decline was no longer able to be hidden.

Harris also said in October of last year that she wasn’t ruling out another run at the White House during a BBC interview.

"I am not done," she said. "I have lived my entire career as a life of service, and it's in my bones."

Harris also criticized Trump at the convention for trying to pass legislation that requires ID to vote, claiming he’s trying to “prevent certain people from voting.”

While Harris could be the Democratic presidential candidate again, California Governor Gavin Newsom and New York U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are also considered potential frontrunners.
