Suspect in Assault of Elderly Woman Arrested After Pursuit

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was arrested Thursday following a high-speed pursuit after he allegedly assaulted his elderly mother.

Officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the 1300 block of Richard Street at about 9:46 a.m. Thursday in reference to an assault victim, according to an SAPD press release.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect, Ernesto Losoya, 58, had assaulted his mother and fled the scene.

He was then transported to Shannon Medical Center for precautionary reasons.

Losoya will be charged with injury to the elderly and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
