TxDOT Lowers Speed Limit on U.S. 87 Through Wall

WALL, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has lowered the speed limit on U.S. Highway 87 through Wall to 70 mph.

New speed limit signs have been posted near the eastern and western ends of Loop 570 where it connects with the highway.

In a Facebook post, Tom Green County Commissioner Chad Decker urged motorists to note the change.

“It was brought to my attention today that TXDOT has lowered the speed limit on US Hwy 87 through Wall to 70 mph,” he stated. “New signs are posted pretty much across from the east & west ends of Loop 570 where it ties into 87. Please feel free to share, as tickets are already being written.”

Decker represents Precinct 2 on the Tom Green County Commissioners Court.
